Kidz Club – After School Club, Weekend Club and, Short Break Holiday Clubs.

These clubs provide opportunities for children to explore new activities in a fun environment offering specific and targeted help which will give the child confidence to build new skills for their own future development.

Kidz Club is specifically designed for children who may need support for their different areas of physical, sensory, social and emotional development. Working in partnership with children and families, the club leaders (who have therapy qualifications) and other trained staff and Volunteers work to achieve short term outcomes based on goals set by the children and families.

What are the benefits for the child?

  • Kidz Club programme helps to provide extra support for children whose needs fall below the Code of Practice threshold for services and who may benefit from a specifically planned exercise programme.
  • Kidz Club provides practical activities and interactions specifically designed by specialist therapist.
  • Kidz Club enables children to use their body effectively

What does it involve

The Kidz Clubs provide individual and group activities for children and young people based specifically on their own skills and ideas. The Club offers a physical activity programme based on each child’s level of physical skills and activities are planned to challenge and promote success. Thus, engaging the children with crafts, music, swimming, and other sensory toys and games to help improve their skills.

Currently, we run the Wednesday and Thursday clubs (3.30pm to 5.30pm), Saturdays and every other Sundays (10.00am to 4.00pm) during term-time. And non-term time holiday short breaks (10.00am to 3.00pm). If you would like to access the clubs for your child, Parents can access this service by independent arrangement (direct payment or personal finance) or via referral from your LA. Please contact our team if you would like to discuss opportunities for your child.

Home buddying services

This is available to parents who are interested for a qualified support care worker to buddy their child with SEND in their family home. We do ensure that the member of staff must have worked with the child at our weekly clubs and would have familiarised with the specific needs and personalised support for the child. Contact us to discuss this opportunities for your child if you are interested.

Siblings Club

Siblings club is specifically designed for relatives (brothers and sisters) of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Many siblings are involved in the care of their brothers and sisters with SEND which may result to them the siblings been isolated in their own right. The Sibling Club operate on weekends once a month and provide a safe space for siblings to socialize and share experiences and undertake fun activities. Our sessions are facilitated by youth workers experienced in working with mainstream young people and in the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Funding for this club is solely from French Squared own resources and donations from helpers and friends. We would appreciate contributions and donations to support this programme.
